Ghassimu Sow signs with Future Global Sports

Future Global Sports is delighted to announce that Ghassimu Sow has appointed us to act as his representatives on an exclusive basis.

Sow, 22, is a talented young central midfielder who made a name for himself at Crystal Palace, where as a youngster he was thrust into the first team squad at just 17 due to his exceptional performances for Palace at academy level.

After spells at Farnborough and FC Honka in Finland, Sow left Palace in 2015, and has since played for St. Albans City, Dulwich Hamlet and current club Lewes FC, where he has captained the side and emerged as a key player already.

As a youngster, Ghassimu was called up to England's youth team as a replacement for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. He was also named Crystal Palace’s Academy Player of the Year during his time at the club.

At FGS we firmly believe that with the right guidance and support the future remains very bright for Ghassimu, and are excited to be working with him as he looks to push up back to the level we firmly believe he is capable of.

The hard work starts now and we're thrilled to be going on the journey with him. Future is Ghassimu!

FGS client Matheus Santos enjoys Premier League trial

Future Global Sports client Matheus Santos enjoyed a trial with Premier League club AFC Bournemouth this week.

Santos, 19, is hotly tipped as one of the most exciting young players in non-league football, and this was shown recently with interest from Premier League and Championship clubs.

Santos recently won the league with his club Barking and is enjoying his football of late. In a trial match for Barking against Premier League promotion chasers Brighton and Hove Albion he scored a goal and did well.

Barking's academy manager was full of praise for Matheus:

"I think Matheus is maturing as a young lad with his communication skills and his dedication for learning and the penny has dropped.

“He did very well at Brighton and ran them ragged and a couple of other clubs have been to watch him and he got an opportunity down at Bournemouth.

“It can never be bad news because he has got that experience in his locker now and say negatively they bounce him, he has still been at a Premier League club.

“Whatever they tell him to work at – that is now the barrier for him and it is where he will wish he can get to.

“Even if he goes League Two, League One or the Championship, he will strive to get to where he was last week with Bournemouth, so it is a psychological driver.”

Matheus is just one of a number of Future Global Sports clients working very hard at the moment and attracting attention from big clubs. We're happy with the progress he is making and tip him to go far if he continues learning.
