Ross Crane signs with Future Global Sports

Ross Crane

Future Global Sports is pleased to announce that Ross Crane has appointed us to represent him on an exclusive basis.

At 21 Crane has already packed plenty of experience into his fledgling playing career, making 129 appearances for various clubs since emerging as a 16-year-old in AFC Sudbury’s first team. In 2020 his promise was spotted and rewarded by Ipswich Town who signed the winger on a two-year professional contract from non-league.

A strong running, direct attacking wide player who can operate on either flank as a left or right winger or as a forward, Crane broke into AFC Sudbury’s first team at just 16 in 2018/19 after rising through their academy ranks. He made 14 appearances for the club before moving to Bury Town for the 2019/20 season. There, over the course of 36 appearances Ross impressed so much he was identified by Ipswich Town and signed his first professional deal.

ROSS CRANE - CAREER STATS SO FAR (up to 31.12.2023): Appearances - 130, Goals - 20

Crane made his debut for Ipswich in a 2-0 FA Trophy win against Gillingham as a second half substitute in October 2020. A month later he made his full debut against Crawley Town again in the FA Trophy. Loan spells at Concord Rangers and Bury Town followed before Crane left Portman Road at the end of his contract in 2022 and joined Needham Market.

At Needham Market Crane hit nine goals in 42 appearances, before moving to join Leiston FC in the summer of 2023 where he has scored seven goals in 26 appearances so far (up to 31.12.2023).

At Future Global Sports we believe now is the right time for Ross to kick on and begin to fulfil his undoubted potential.

Boasting a great physique, strength, running power, an ability to play off either side, a fierce shot and an eye for goal, Crane can play in a variety of positions - left wing, right wing, as an inverted or outside wide forward or as a left back as he did emerging at AFC Sudbury, and at times this season he has been deployed by Leiston as a forward or second striker.

The talent is there. With focus, hard work in the gym, on the pitch and on the training field and a strong desire to improve, we believe that now is the right time for Ross to turn his unquestionable abilities into consistent performances week in week out, show the wider football world what he is about and, under our guidance, eventually start to climb the leagues and realise his full potential.

We are excited to welcome Ross to Future Global Sports. The hard work starts now.

Future is Crane!
