Future Global Sports is delighted to announce that Finn O’Mara has appointed us to act as his representatives on an exclusive basis.

O’Mara, 19, is a talented young centre-back who came through the ranks at League One outfit Gillingham FC, where he spent six years at the club’s academy and Under-23s. Prior to that he excelled for Kent’s regional youth teams, where he was captain of the side.

O’Mara made four first-team appearances for the Gills during his time at the club.

His professional debut for the Gills came in 2017/18 as a substitute, coming off the bench against Blackburn Rovers in a League 1 fixture at Ewood Park.

Three days later the centre-back started in the club’s 1-0 win over Colchester United in the Checkatrade Trophy at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, keeping a clean sheet, before making his full league debut the following weekend at home to Portsmouth, a game which was live on Sky Sports.

His final appearance for Gillingham came in the 7-5 win over Reading in the Checkatrade Trophy on November 7, 2017. Upon leaving the club Gillingham were keen to place on record praise for O’Mara’s ‘hard work, dedication and professionalism.’

A powerful, physical, vocal and committed player, who can also play centre midfield or right-back, at FGS we firmly believe that with the right guidance, support and hard work the future remains very bright for Finn.

We are excited to be working with him as he looks to push up back to the level we firmly believe he is capable of.

Currently at Folkestone Invicta, the club have registered 6 clean sheets in 17 games since O’Mara joined, going from relegation battlers to promotion contenders after a very good run of form.

The hard work starts now and we're thrilled to be going on the journey with him. Future is O’Mara!

Mohamed Bettamer signs for Barnet FC

Future Global Sports is delighted to complete the deal seeing client Mohamed Bettamer sign for Barnet FC from Braintree Town on a permanent deal until the end of the 2019/20 season.

The 25-year-old forward joins The Bees off the back of an impressive start to the National League season, in which he has scored 6 goals in just 15 appearances for The Iron. Bettamer’s last game for Braintree saw him hit two goals against high-flying Salford City in a 2-2 draw.

Whilst he has averaged a goal every 209 minutes this campaign, he also bagged an impressive 29 goals in all competitions for Staines Town last season.

Given his goalscoring prowess, it comes as no surprise that other National League clubs and sides in the Football League were interested in securing his signature.

Although mainly used in a centre-forward capacity, Bettamer has also been used as a left-winger, which will offer versatility to Still’s selection options.

Big congrats from all of us at Future Global Sports, Mo! We can’t wait to follow your progress back in professional football.

Antonio German wins first international cap for Grenada

Future Global Sports is delighted for client Antonio German after he won the first international cap of his career by representing his country, Grenada, this month.

German, 26, earned his first call-up to the Grenada national team for their CONCACAF Nations League clash against Cuba on 12th October at Kirani James Athletics Stadium in Grenada.

The forward travelled with the squad and started in their 2-0 defeat to Cuba in the Nations League. Unfortunately his debut cap was cut short after he was injured and substituted in the first half.

The opportunity to play for one’s country is the dream of any professional footballer and we are thrilled to see Antonio complete this career milestone. Hopefully it will be the first of many on the international stage.

Earlier this summer Future Global Sports completed a deal to take German from the semi-pro game at St. Albans City back into the professional game, moving back to India to join Gokulam Kerala FC.

The season in India starts later this month and we wish Antonio all the best for a successful season.
